Mr Linton had not been in good health for the past few months, and, on the advice of physicians, was taking a rest at his home here. On Thursday afternoon he went out partridge hunting, and as he did not return at the usual hour, the family became alarmed, and neighbours and friends turned out to search for him. About 11 o'clock at night they found the body lying in Mr G W Hendy's woods, north of the Agricultural grounds, about 300 yards from the road leading to Crow Bay.
