1851 CensusJohn and Louisa appeared on the 1851 Census of Cirencester, Gloucestershire, at Cricklade Street. John was 48, a bacon curer, and was born in Thorverton, Devon. Louisa was 51 and born in Wotton under Edge, Glo'shire. They had one son, Osborne (22, excise). Also with them was niece Charlotte Watts (21, dressmaker, born Wotton under Edge.)2 
1871 CensusJohn Oliver appeared on the 1871 Census of Cirencester, Gloucestershire, at Lewis Lane. He was the only person in his household, age 69, married, retired bacon curer, birthplace Tiverton Devon.4
