1901 CensusThos E and Minerva Oliver appeared on the 1901 Census of Stirling, Hastings County, Ontario, at Gore Street. Thomas was 29, born Sept 23, 1872 in rural Ontario, English origin, Methodist, and worked on his own account as a dentist. Minerva was 23, born July 18, 1878 in urban Ontario, of Irish origin, occupation Lady, and Methodist. They had one daughter, Mary E, age one. The family lived in a one story brick house with seven rooms. They also leased 2 lots (2/5 of an acre) with a store or similar building on it [dentist office?].3 
1911 CensusThomas E and Minerva appeared on the 1911 Census of Marmora, Hastings County, Ontario, at Corner of Madoc & Bursthall Streets. Thomas E was 38, born in Sept 1871 in Ontario, of English origin, Methodist, and worked as a dentist. He had $3500 of life insurance, purchased for $71.70. Minerva was 33, born in July 1877 in Ontario, of Irish origins, and Methodist. Their daughter Mary was 11. Also with them was Thomas' nephew Raymond (age 13, attending school). Raymond's parents were deceased.4 
(Informant) DeathMrs T.E. Oliver of Marmora registered the 1913 death of her husband Thomas Edward Oliver.5 
1921 CensusMinerva appeared on the 1921 Census of Marmora Village, Hastings County, Ontario. She owned her 6 rooms wood house. The family was Methodist. Minerva was 43, a widow, born in Ontario, no occupation recorded. Her children at home were Mary (21, Arts student) and Bruce (9, student). Also in the household were 3 lodgers - 2 school teachers and one insurance agent.6
