Last Will and Testament of Richard Oliver of Cheriton Fitzpaine, yeoman To sons William and Edward two dwelling houses now building in the Village of Cheriton Fitzpaine on the north side of his present house, including the timber lying in the orchard to complete the building, all in his estate called Pynes To sons William and Edward £20 each out of the surplus of Pynes when sold Edward shall have first choice when the two houses are completed To son William the dairy and chamber over it situated on the left hand side of the passage leading in from the village together with part of the garden on the eastern side of the wall south from the gate leading in from the same, after the death of Richard’s wife Sarah. If William should die without issue before Sarah, then it is to be split among all his children as tenants in common. To son Richard and daughter Sarah as tenants in common his dwelling house now in the occupation of Elizabeth Prior together with the part of the garden thereto now in the occupation of William Cruwys on the west side of the gutter, all part of Pynes. To son Thomas his dwelling house and garden which extends to the hedge on the south side, from the [---] on the north side adjoining the village now in the occupation of William Cruwys. Apponted son in law William Pasmore of Cadeleigh and brother in law John Rattenbury of Witheridge to let Thomas’ house and to hold the proceeds in trust for him until he reached the age of twenty-one. To son John and daughter Mary his dwelling house and premises called Ring of Bells in Cheriton Fitzpaine and now in their possession, during Richard’s present holding. Also to John and Mary any goods or chattels of his that they have at his decease.
