Notice of opposition to the discharge of any Prisoner must be entered in the book at this Office, three clear days, exclusive of Sunday, before the day of hearing. The schedules are filed, and may be inspected every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, between the hours of Ten and Four, up to the last day for entering opposition.7
 
(Widowed) Burial.His wife Elizabeth died in 1834. Herbert was left with at least four children ranging in age from about 4 to 16.8
(Executor) ProbateSon in Law Herbert Godart was granted administration of the estate of George Harden on 12 Aug 1834 in Prerogative Court of Canterbury, London, with power reserved of making the like grant to the other executor Moses Miller, Esquire.9

1841 CensusHerbert and Elizabeth appeared on the 1841 Census of St George Hanover Square, Westminster, at Ranelagh Grove Pimlico, enumerated 6 Jun 1841. Herbert was 45, a Carver, and was born in this county. Elizabeth was 35 and born in the county. With them were Mary (15) and Arthur (1). Note that the 1841 census records ages rounded down to the nearest 5 years, does not record relationships, and only indicates whether or not the person was born in the county.11 
1851 CensusHerbert and Elizabeth appeared on the 1851 Census of St George Hanover Square, Westminster, at 30 Charlwood Street. There are four families at this address and they were in the Pimlico ecclesiastical district. Herbert was 59, a Journeyman Wood Carver, and was born in Middlesex. Eliz was 48 and born in Middlesex.12 
DeathHerbert died on 20 Jul 1858 in 47 Hindon Street, Pimlico, Middlesex.
Details from the certificate: Herbert Goddart, age 66, Late a Wood Carver (Journeyman), died of Hemiplegia (2 years) and Apoplexy (4 hours, certified); the informant was E Sharman, present at the Death, residence 47 Hindon Street, Pimlico.13 
BurialHe was buried on 26 Jul 1858 in Brompton Cemetery.14
