Emily was 53, widowed, and was born in London. Daisy was 28, single, and born in Ealing. They, and Emily's sister Elizabeth A Speechley were governesses working on their own account. They had 5 girls between the ages of 8 and 14 boarding with them (the 14 year old was Flossie Fernee, born in Southall, Middlesex - not sure who this is.)5
