1861 CensusMary Ann Laurence appeared on the 1861 Census of Lambeth, Surrey, at 5 Southampton St West, enumerated 7 Apr 1861. She was age 34, a widow, Charwoman, birthplace Lambeth. Her daughter Alice was with her.3 
MarriageShe married Noah Wright on 10 May 1862 in St Barnabas Church, Chapelry of South Kennington, Surrey.
Information from the certificate: Noah Wright, full age, widower, coal porter, father William Wright, dead;
Mary Ann Lawrence, full age, widow, father Nicolas Wise, dead;
They both lived at 6 Portland Cottages and were married after banns. Mary Ann signed with an X. The witnesses were Charles George Geary and Jane [X] Hall.1 
1871 CensusNoah and Maryan [sic] Wright appeared on the 1871 Census of Lambeth, Surrey, at 8 Southampton Street West. Noah was 50, a coal porter, and born in Lambeth. Mary Ann was 44 and born in Lambeth. With them was their daughter Alice and her husband George Rees.4 
Note.Noah remarried in 1877, so Mary Ann likely died before then. There was a burial for a Mary Ann Wright, age 45, of 77 Regent Street, Lambeth Walk, 16 September 1874 in Norwood Cemetery, Lambeth. May or may not be her.
