1920 CensusHarold and Isetta [sic] appeared on the 1920 Federal Census of Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan, at 36 ---ina. Harold was 34, born in Canada, alien, rented his home, and was a box maker for Ford Motor. Isetta was 35 and born in Canada. They had one daughter, Gera (2). Also there were Isetta's mother Zilkah Allingham and sister Ethel Freeland.9 
1930 CensusHarold E and Izetta L Simpson appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Ferndale, Oakland County, Michigan, at 381 Vester Avenue. They owned their home worth $6500 and had a radio. Harold was 43, first married at 32, born in Canada, and was a clerk for a coal and ice company. Izetta was 41, first married at 27, born in Canada, and was a buyer for a department store. Note.Harold and Izetta Simpson, bought the parcel at 291 West Maplehurst in Ferndale in 1935 and had a home built to their specifications in 1940. The house was sold in 1942.13
