Obituary | Her obituary was published on 23 Sep 1977. On September 22, 1977 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Mary McIlvride, aged 94 years, of 2350 Portage Ave., widow of James Arthur McIlvride. Mrs. McIlvride was born in London, England. She came to Winnipeg before the Second World War and had resided here since. She was a member of the Fort Garry Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and the White Shrine. Her husband predeceased her in 1950. Surviving are two sisters in England, a sister, Dorothy of Vancouver and two nieces, Margaret McGowan and Bernice Ellor of Winnipeg. Funeral service will be held in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, Broadway at Furby, Saturday September 24 at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. Walter Cowan will officiate. The service will terminate at the chapels with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a favourite charity.8 |
