They were married after banns and the witnesses were William Henry Griffiths and Ellen Harris. George's signature clearly says 'Fernee.1' 
1891 CensusEliza Ann Harris and George Fernee appeared on the 1891 Census of St Pancras, London, at 83 Holmes Road. There were 3 families at this address and the Fernees occupied 2 rooms. George was 25, worked as a Marble Clock Packer, and was born in Kentish Town, London. Eliza was 24 and born in Somers Town, London. Their children Amy Louise and Alice Maud were with them.3 
1901 CensusEliza Ann Harris and George Fernee appeared on the 1901 Census of St Pancras, London, at 39 Inkerman Road. Three families live at this address and the Fernees occupy two rooms. George was 35, worked as a Warehouseman, and was born in Pancras. Eliza A was 35, worked as an Ironer and was born in Pancras. Their children Amy Louise, Alice Maud, Lily May and Ivy Mildred were living with them.2 
1911 CensusGeorge and Eliza appeared on the 1911 Census of Holloway, London, at 20 Poynings Rd Junction Rd. George was 45, a Packer in the Marble clock trade, and was born in Kentish Town. Eliza was 44 and born in Hampshire. They had been married 25 years. Eliza had borne 12 children, of whom 6 were still living. They lived in 4 rooms with their daughters Amy (23, dressmaking), Alice, (20, waitress), Lily (15), Ivy (14), Doris (9), and May (6), all born in Kentish Town.4 
DeathEliza died on 7 Feb 1951.5
